Blog Homework #5

After reading the article, College Recruiters Lure Students With New Online Tools, I felt really left out. The kind of technology that St. Mary's has is really cool. If any of my colleges that I applied to and got into had that, it probably would have changed things. (maybe, maybe not.) I am from Elkhart Indiana and I am real close to St. Mary's, I know how small it is and how this kind of technology does it good, but imagine the possibilities for even the big schools, like this one. Alot of smaller colleges are trying out this extrememly cool video tour/magazine approach and it has helped them significantly. I dont want to use the term awesome, but i am going to, to describe this. It is really awesome what this kind of technology is doing for the college community. Big schools, like IU, have such a huge student enrollment that word of mouth and tradition usually contributes to students from the region but tis reputation in certain areas attracts a small national and global population.

Happy to be Walking

One of those days that causes one to reflect and comtemplate about life.....or is it? All i know is that it is beautiful out. This is the best tuesday i could have asked for in February. It was so nice out i decided to miss a class or two, okay just one, but I dont feel like i cheated myself. Interpersonal Communication wont change must by thursday so i am okay with my decision, and if i have convinced myself of that dont worry about it. lol.

Itunes is playing and my windows are open. The view is gorgeous, my 11th floor view never fails me, especially on days like this. Thats the good thing about second semester, everything just gets better with time, unlike first semester, everything dies more and more with time and days become shorter and shorter.

Shuffle is crazy, i just heard OneTwo Step, now i am listening to last year's Memorial Band CD featuring October. Thats nuts., but expected with a shuffle of this magnitude.

Lindsay came up for about an hour this afternoon, she doesn't have her first class til 4, i am on a break. i have to go to espanol still and then i will be done. I gave her about 4 cds of stuff she has been wanting to add to her collection but never has time for. it must be nice not to have class til 4 but, i will be done by 4 so thats nice too. I would rather wake up at 7:30 everyday(which i do) and go to class than wake up at noon and sit around all day waiting to go to class. I had two night classes a week last semester and it gets old fast. So, thats my two cents.

I've been thinking about my major and what it can do for me.........
...yeah thats all i got. haha, i dont know what i am gunna do with my major anymore. i thought i knew, but now, not so much. I am thinking about double majoring in Communications and Telecommunications but i dont know. what do you think?!

Right now i am just filling my pre-reqs so i am not too worried, i will be worried around this time next year though.

alright, gotta go....your crushed i know. Dont worry, i am will be back. i always am, what else am i going to do with my time?

til next time....
....let me see you OneTwo Step!

Blog Homework #4

I liked the survey. I was deemed an "Experiencer", it represents my dominant approach to life. Thats a plus. I would say the survey was accurate. I am strong willed and like to do things that fit me best, but I am still able to sit back and enjoy life as I experience it. I would take out the questions about God and biblical conotation. It seemed irrelevant to the survey. well, i guess not, but the difference between someone being fashionibly sensible or political charged just seems too different to really correspond. I guess that would be my only concern or complaint. Otherwise I liked the outcome I received.

I'm #1(according to "the list")

herroo everyone. i finally saw Team America: World Police and i have to say it rubbed off me a bit. I hated it, but i find myself more and more each day repeating those lines. I love that lil Asian. If you haven't seen this movie and you have no idea what i am talking about, its alright. I have other good things to talk about.

This past weekend was an overall success. I went to a poorly attended, but kickass Luau Party. The boys always throw good parties. I want to say they are predictable and familiar, but familiar would probably be the only correct word usage. Predictable, they are not. something new and interesting always happens, and thats cool because the party is never too wild but if it is, you are in a familiar place and dont feel threatened. I got a whole lot of different ways of fucked up Saturday at that party. I woke up bright and early, with ant so we could do our radio show, i was a smidge hungover. The party was a hit and the cops, although not invited, came too. They always bring the best time. Too bad they couldn't stay long, they always come long enough to cause a scene and then leave. Kind of rude if you think about it. Oh well. I drunk off Tequila for the first time...that was interesting. I only took like 3 actual shots...all i have to say is that is absolutely the worst taste experience of my life. But the margaritas were really yummy. So the handle was about half gone before the party even started. Dont worry, it wasn't just me drinking it. There was about 5 of us. The funniest part of the night for me was when Felipe pushed me down the sidewalk in the dilapitated krogers grocery cart we found in the yard. I was so scared he was going to let go or fall or something, but he didn't let me down. Thank God. After that i realized i was blessed to be alive and that i should stay inside, you know, to avoid injury......well ant later in the evening did a perfect mouth spray of tequila in my eyes, and i felt blind. Obviously i am not....but there could have been serious consequences. i'm just saying. lol

Sunday morning was our first radio show ever! We had 15 listeners, which for this station is great! WE did a kick ass job, even though i was so so so hung over. i fell asleep inbetween songs. I was not in the best of spirits but next weekend should be great. Ben Folds on Saturday night and Radio Show on sunday morning. It should make for an interesting show i think. So if you are reading this, that means you are my friend, and that means you should listen! if you are out of the AM listening area, check us out at WIUS.org

I'm #1 on the list that me and ant have created to make ourselves more in tuned with each others love lives. The way it works is, the lower on the list, the better off you are in the "love" department. Well looks like i am #1 making me the most pathetic person on this 3 person list. i wont go into greater detail about the list, considering you can't be on it and you dont matter, but lets just say it really sums up how you rank as a person. Apparently number one does not make me on top in this instance. ugh.

Oh well.

"if we hold on, we might find some new energy."

til next time.....
live life and be happy!
